This blog was urged upon me by some of my friends with whom I have been communicating about the 2004 presidential election. They suggested that rather than just passing along my thoughts on the politics of the day via email, I should record them in a blog. And so here it is! Anyone wishing to comment on any of my blog messages may do so by clicking on the word "Comments" below the message. Impeachment Impreative

Last Friday night at 9:00 P.M. on Public Television Bill Moyers interviewed Bruce Fein, a conservative constitutional lawyer who wrote one of the impeachment charges against Bill Clinton, and John Nichols, a progressive and author of "The Genius of Impeachment: The Founders' Cure for Royalism". The topic was the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

They argued that it is imperative that the US House of Representatives move to impeach both Bush and Cheney, else their unchecked actions assuming monarcal powers become the future standard for this country thus abrogating our founding fathers careful construction of checks and balances built into our Constitution.

It is a fascinating discussion and I highly recommend it to all of you. You can see it online at:
